Plain-language privacy
Read the market. Keep your identity.

No account. No advertising. No analytics SDK. No cross-app tracking. Market Read is an informational app. We collect only the limited device data needed for an optional feature you choose to use.
At a glance
Market information
Market Read organizes market prices, price history, event context, and other reference information from public sources. This data is about public markets and events, not about you. Prices can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and the app leaves data blank when it does not have a grounded read.
If you follow a source or venue link, the destination's privacy policy applies there. Market Read is not affiliated with or endorsed by any market venue.
Optional notifications
If you turn on push notifications and arm a personal price line, the app sends our server:
- the push notification device token Apple provides for your installation; and
- the public market outcome identifier, threshold, and direction needed to evaluate the line you chose.
We store that information only to operate and deliver your alerts through Apple Push Notification service. It is not attached to a name, email address, or account, because Market Read has none. We do not use it for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.
Your Kalshi key stays on your device
If you choose to connect a Kalshi API key, its access key ID and private key are stored only in the iOS Keychain on that device. Market Read signs read-only requests on the device and sends them directly from your device to Kalshi. The app limits those requests to positions, fills, and balance.
Your Kalshi key and the responses to those requests do not pass through or get stored on our servers. Removing the key in Market Read deletes the device's Keychain copy. Revoking the key at Kalshi prevents any further use of that key.
Public wallet lookups and device-local data
If you choose to load a public wallet address, our read-only lookup service uses that address to return public position information. It is not used to create a profile or linked to an account. The service may hold a brief response cache to complete and speed up that lookup.
Manual positions, display preferences, local notification state, and the local Kalshi read log remain on your device. Removing the app removes its ordinary device-local data, subject to iOS backup and Keychain behavior.
What we do not collect
The app does not ask for or maintain your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone data, advertising identifier, or payment details. We do not sell personal data. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
If you contact us by email, ordinary email services deliver your address and message to us so we can respond. We do not combine that correspondence with in-app data unless you choose to include relevant information in your message.
Delete notification data
In Market Read, choose Turn off push on this device. The app will ask our service to unregister that device token and its alert rules. You may also request deletion by contacting us. Because there are no accounts, we may ask you to use the in-app control so the request includes the correct device token.
Changes and contact
If the app's data practices change, we will update this page and its date. Questions or deletion requests: imaybejokin1@gmail.com
